The WAR Room is back again, bringing you the 2014 advanced stats for every Cleveland minor leaguer. After looking at the pitchers last week, today we focus on the hitters, in particular Jesus Aguilar and Jose Ramirez pushing to make it back to the majors. Though limited roster spots in Cleveland (and injury in the case of Ramirez) may keep the pair in Triple-A, neither is being held back by their performance. Join Jim Piascik as he breaks down the hitters throughout the system and takes you into The WAR Room.

The Cleveland Indians (37-38) dropped their second straight game to the Detroit Tigers (39-32) 5-4 on Saturday night at Progressive Field, this time in 10 innings. At the moment, things are falling into place for the Columbus Clippers. Manager Chris Tremie’s team won 14 of 18 from May 31 to June 17. Three losses in the past three days still don’t hide the fact that the team is in the middle of a confident stride. The IBI's Grant Miller writes about the Clippers recent hot play....

When it comes to prospects, sometimes the divide between one who makes it and one who does not just comes down to health. Roberto Perez and LeVon Washington are both examples of this, as they are both in the midst of big years after injury-riddled 2013 seasons. Now that both are healthy, Perez and Washington are raking, as they did Saturday. Join Arthur Kinney as he writes about Perez and his future, Washington and his potential rise, and much more as he takes you Around the Farm.

Pick your poison. Deadlocked in a 4-4 tie in the tenth inning with a runner on second, Indians manager Terry Francona decided for Cody Allen to pitch to baseball's best hitter with first base open. Bad move? Some may certainly say so. But when Victor Martinez is hitting behind Miguel Cabrera, either slugger can bring just as much venom. That's exactly what led to the Tigers 5-4 victory over the Tribe Saturday night. Join IBI Tribe beat reporter Jim Berdysz as he recaps the game from a sold out Progressive Field.

Most Tribe fans are familiar with the local minor league clubs within the Indians organization, which include the newly rebranded RubberDucks. However, it may surprise many that Akron actually has a rich and full history in the great game of baseball that dates back nearly as far as America's Pastime itself. Well, Ken Babby may be well on his way to writing the next chapter in the city's baseball heritage. Join the IBI's Jake Dungan as he details the revamping of a franchise and a community.

What can you say? Don’t pitch to guys named Martinez. Former Indian Victor Martinez continued to torture his former team, hitting a first pitch two-run shot to right in the fourth inning of Friday night’s 6-4 loss to the Tigers. As bad as it was to give up that homer, the three-run home run that John Axford gave up to J.D. Martinez in the eighth was the big one. The IBI's Michael Rich provides his second thoughts on the game...

Keep your friends close and your enemies closer. Victor Martinez was once a friend of the Tribe, now he's their most feared enemy. Having played with the Indians for more that eight seasons from 2002-2009, Martinez led the offensive charge for the Tigers Friday night, as Detroit hung onto defeat Cleveland, 6-4. Join IBI Tribe beat reporter Jim Berdysz as he recaps a tough loss from the ballpark.

It's precisely games like this that make baseball the greatest sport of all time. Nick Swisher had about as bad a game as a hitter could have, let alone one being paid $15 million a year. In his four at-bats during regulation play, the Tribe first baseman struck out three times and incurred the wrath of many fans. A long drive to right field made everyone forget about those first four at-bats. The IBI's Jake Dungan recaps another dramatic Tribe victory.

The night after only the Akron RubberDucks were in action, the Cleveland system had seven games going on thanks to the combination of two doubleheaders and the end of the All-Star break for Carolina and Lake County. Two RubberDucks still headlined the night, however, with Will Roberts putting together his best start of the season and Francisco Lindor showing off some power. Join Jim Piascik as he breaks down the busy night in the system and takes you Around the Farm.

All it takes is one hit. Trailing the Angels 3-1 in the bottom of the tenth inning, Nick Swisher got some sweet redemption. Hitless in the ballgame with three strikeouts, the switch-hitter came up big when it mattered most, connecting on a game winning walk-off grand slam to send the Tribe to a 5-3 victory. Join IBI Indians beat reporter Jim Berdysz as he recaps Cleveland's biggest win of the season.

The Lake County Captains had a brief 3-1 week as the first half of the season came to a close. Overall, the first half has been tough for the squad as they post a league-worst 27-43 record and sit 14 games out of first place in the Eastern Division. Despite some severe offensive struggles, the team has boasted some bright spots, including a solid first half from pitcher Robbie Aviles and a breakout performance from infielder Paul Hendrix. Stephanie Metzger recaps the past week went for the Captains, who will regroup to begin the second half of the season June 19.

We’re nearly halfway through the 2014 season and the Indians stand exactly at .500. That record is reflective of inconsistent play that has plagued various aspects of the team all season. As the middle of summer approaches, the evaluation period for the current roster should be closing and focus shifting to making the decisions necessary to improve the roster for the stretch run. The IBI's Michael Goodman takes a look at what areas the team should bolster as the trade deadline nears.

One thing that is great about the new CBA and the bonus pool system is how much better the signing process and how it gets an extremely large percentage of draft picks out and playing within two weeks of the completion of the draft. In today's signing update, the IBI's Tony Lastoria notes a newly signed player that came out of nowhere, updates on who is left that may sign and the ones that definitely won't, and also provides some comments from scouts on four of the Indians later round picks.
