20th round pick left-handed pitcher Dillon Peters
appears open to signing, although he has not talked to the Indians much since being drafted
. He is a summer follow as the Indians want to get some looks at him pitching summer ball, and after that will probably give him an offer near the end of July or in early August. Peters will decide then which opportunity between going pro now or going to the University of Texas gives him the best opportunity to grow as a pitcher and make it to the big leagues.
48th round pick right-handed pitcher Blaine O’Brien
is trying to prove his worth
to the Indians pitching in summer ball in the New England Collegiate Baseball League. He is ready to sign, and eventually he probably will, but the Indians right now have other pitchers they are looking to try and sign first.
