In the 31st round of the 2011 Draft the Indians select left-handed pitcher Michael Roth out of the University of South Carolina.

Bats: Left, Throws: Left, Height: 6'1", Weight: 190, Date of Birth: 02/15/1990

Note: Roth was 12-3 with a 1.10 ERA this year for the Gamecocks. He made 17 appearances, 16 of them starts. In 114 2/3 innings he gave up 89 hits, 14 ER and 29 BB, while striking out 93. He made a start four days ago against Georgia Southern, going seven innings and giving up two hits in getting the win. He was a star for the Gamecocks when they won last season's College World Series. He started the clinching game last season and is clearly their ace.
