Jeff Ellis: Robert Nixon is a right handed senior from Adelphi University. He was named second team all American this year. He went 11-2 with a 1.43 ERA. He threw 10 complete games and struck out 104 batters in 113 innings, while holding batters to a .203 average. He pitched a no hitter this year for the Panthers. He leaves the program it’s all time leader in wins and strikeouts. He too is an athlete, but since he is a Canadian, instead of playing football he played hockey throughout high school. He is another guy who will be ticketed to Mahoning Valley. Worst case he will be a heck of an innings eater for the MV team this year.

It is Adelphi University, not Adelphia.
