2012 Indians 20th round pick: RHP Nicholas Pasquale

In the 20th round of the 2012 MLB Draft the Cleveland Indians have selected right-handed pitcher Nicholas Pasquale out of Diablo Valley College (CA).

Date of birth: 10/27/1990 - Height: 6’0” - Weight: 190 - Bats: Right - Throws: Right

Quick take: He transferred from Saint Mary’s College, and is signed to go to North Carolina State.  He has come along and grown a lot as a pitcher since high school and has an upper 80s fastball.

Jeff Ellis: Nick Pasquale is a pitcher who pitched for Diablo Valley Community college last year. In 110 innings he had a 1.88 ERA and 75 strikeouts. He had 14 starts and was really dominant walking only 16, which shows a degree of control. He is an interesting flyer type out of the Juco ranks.

Upper 80's fastball, Indians released RHP's with lower 90's fastball. Striz, now with the Red Sox's was 94.
