In the 32nd round of the 2012 MLB Draft the Cleveland Indians have selected shortstop Paul Hendrix out of Howard College (TX).

Date of birth: 11/18/1991 - Height: 6’1” - Weight: 180 - Bats: Right - Throws: Right

Quick take: Hendriz is committed to TCU. In 53 games this year he hit .379 with 15 2B, 1 3B, 2 HR, 42 RBI, 7 stolen bases and a .452 on-base percentage.

Jeff Ellis: Paul Hendrix is JUCO player that is committed to Texas Christian next year.  He was the number three hitter for his junior college program this year, and put up good numbers in the JUCO ranks. He was listed in PGcrosschecker's Top 100 JUCO players for this draft. This late in the draft it is worth taking a risk on a talented infielder from the JUCO ranks who might be signable. You can never have enough pitching or middle infield talent.
