Here is a current listing of players from the Indians’ organization expected to play winter ball this offseason. This is not a complete list as it will undoubtedly change over the course of winter ball as players finish up play and other players end up being assigned to a league.

Also, starting next Friday October 19th we will have a new “Offseason League Notebook” that posts every week and recaps all the action and how all the Indians’ players are doing this fall and winter. I would expect Carrasco to pitch eventually in winter ball. No confirmed plans on that one way or another yet, hence why he is not listed. The way I see it, the Indians want him to pitch winter ball....but they have to find a team willing to take him on and use him the way they want him to be used. It's not as easy as a lot of people think as those teams in winter ball treat the winter ball season like the World Series and those Latin players get more geared up for it than they do in MLB.

Reports have indicated that CarCar touched 97+ mph with his fastball in the AZL. Getting 2 out of 3 of him, Rondon, and Salazar to the ML level in 2013 would be a huge boost, even if only CarCar still projects as a starter.

i hope as winter goes on carlos carrasco pitches a few games to get back in swing i think he pitched like 4 or 5 innings total this summer and we do need to know before the winter meetings if he is gonna be back. if he re-injures his elbow lets hope it doesnt happen after we made plans to include him in the rotation for '13. sometimes i think our medical team is overly cautious with post injuries it hasnt worked well for travis or grady has it. let CarCar throw lets see what we have there
