In the 12th round of the 2013 Draft the Cleveland Indians select right fielder Heath Quinn from Oak Mountain High School (AL).

Born: 06/07/1995 - Height: 6'2" - Weight: 190 - Bats: Right - Throws: Right

Pre-draft ranks:

Baseball America: 390th
Perfect Game: 434th

Jeff Ellis: Quinn was a high school teammate of David Dahl who the Indians loved last year. I was told he was the player they wanted to draft, but he rose late and ended up being long gone. They scouted him a ton and during that time saw a lot of Quinn as well. Quinn is a big outfielder at 6'3" who plays center now but will more than likely move to the corner. Quinn also continues the tradition of the Indians ties to the Samford program. He is a commit there and it marks three straight years they have gone for talent from or connected to that program. He is a good athlete with power and speed tools that flash plus. He is a solid defender, but just needs to work on his hit tool.
