2013 IPI Positional Rankings: The Catchers

Today we continue our 2013 prospect coverage here at the IPI with another positional rankings piece on the Cleveland Indians farm system. This time we will review the catchers.

The Indians have established good catching depth up and down the system, especially in light of their recent trade with the Blue Jays last month that saw them acquire Yan Gomes. The Indians may not have a Carlos Santana-like catching prospect in the system, but they now have a legit Major League catching prospect at every level. Also, like with most of their other positions, they have a lot of very interesting youth and upside at the position that may take a year or two before emerging as big time catching prospects.
