With their 22nd round pick in the 2014 Draft the Cleveland Indians have selected right-handed pitcher Jordan Carter out of Saint Joseph’s (PA).

Born: 9/29/1991 – Height: 6’4” – Weight: 195 – Bats: Right – Throws: Right

Jeff Ellis: Jordan Carter is a 6’4” right-handed pitcher from St. Joseph. He had a solid year for St. Joseph posting a 2.45 ERA over 95.2 innings. He struck out 81 and only walked 14, though he did surrender 78 hits as well. The numbers seem to show that he is more of a command control right-handed pitcher. His bio lists him at only 185 pounds so he could get bigger and add some more velocity. He was listed at only six feet out of high school so here is a kid who still hasn’t grown all the way into his body. He is a senior sign, but could be an interesting senior sign with a little more upside.
