2014 MLB Draft: Big Board 1.0

I have gone on record saying I am a big fan of this year’s draft. It is partially because last years had so little depth, and frankly this is the best draft to me in the last three years. The 2012 draft had more star power, but not the depth of this class. I honestly think teams will get better players late in round two then they found last year late in round one.

The bats much like last year are weak this year, high school and college lack depth and there are few impact players. Yet, the pitching on both sides is loaded. I will put it this way: Boston picked Trey Ball 7th last year and there is a good chance there will be a prep pitcher taken in the 20’s this year that I have graded higher.
