COLUMBUS, Ohio –– With two on at the top of the first Giovanny Urshela went yard to left field for a three run blast, putting the Clippers up 3-0.

Columbus cruised through Monday night's game, winning 11-6.

After putting up five more runs in the first the Clippers had a nice cushion for starter Gabriel Arias. Top of the third and the Mudhens came back. A single homer off of Arias put Toledo on the board.

Top of the fourth and Toledo cut the Clipper's lead in half, scoring three more runs off of two doubles. A final single brought in the final run of the inning with the Clippers up 8-5.

With the Mudhens gaining traction Columbus went back for more. Bottom of the fourth with bases loaded Matt Carson drew a walk to bring Jesus Aguilar in to score the ninth run of the night.

Carlos Moncrief's sac-fly to center field brought in Urshela and lifted the Clippers to a 10-5 lead.

With Josh Outman in for Columbus a triple sent in Toledo's final run of the game before Outman closed out the inning with two strikeouts.

Once again the Clippers answered back. James Ramsey's double sent Urshela in for his third run, putting the clippers in a comfortable five game lead.

The Clippers kicked off their home stand with Toledo with a win. Columbus will remain home for two more games before heading to Louisville.
