The Cleveland Indians announced the beginning of their final roster moves on Monday afternoon. While there are still some questions as to who will make up the final 25-man roster when they break camp next weekend, most were answered in a flurry of moves. Scott Kazmir was officially named the fifth starter, but won't be added to the roster until prior to his first start on April sixth. Here's a list of the moves made so far.

The Cleveland Indians have made dramatic improvements over the offseason, which turned what likely would have been a lost year into one of curiosity. The Detroit Tigers remain loaded, and may have the three best players in the American League, let alone the AL Central, and the Kansas City Royals have the most talent, and could be ready to take a Tampa Bay Rays-type move from a few years ago. I haven't even mentioned the White Sox or the Twins yet. Who wins the division?

Daisuke Matsuzaka initially accepted a demotion the Triple A Columbus after Tribe manager Terry Francona told the right-handed starter that he wasn't going to make the 25-man roster last week. This weekend, things changed quickly as the Indians announced on Sunday night that he was being released from his minor league deal. Is there a renegotiation going on, or is Matsuzaka moving on?

The Cleveland Indians will be breaking camp in a week, and while most of the roster seems set, there may be more players in the mix than initially thought. Here's a detailed look at the Indians remaining position battles in Goodyear over the final week of spring training. The only question left is, will the players that deserve to make the roster, actually make the roster? Take a trip to Arizona with this week's Tribe Happenings...

On Wednesday, Trevor Bauer made his last case for a rotational turn in Cleveland come April, and on Thursday was optioned to Columbus. Carrasco made his last case for a rotational turn in Cleveland, but the cards are stacked against him with his suspension and injury playing a key part in the decision-making process. Jim Pete shares his spring training thoughts as the Indians take on the Diamondbacks in preseason action.

They also sent LHP Giovanni Soto, a non-roster invitee, to minor league camp. The Indians Trevor Bauer took the mound on Wednesday for the Cleveland Indians in his quest to earn the fifth spot in the rotation. While Bauer hit a bit of a road block, the Indians' bullpen showcased how tough they can be. Lonnie Chisenhall and Michael Brantley also took center stage offensively, with some key hits in the Indians loss. Jim Pete takes some notes on Wednesday's Spring Training affair against the Angels.

While there are a bunch of questions regarding the staff, it appears as though the 25-man roster is set heading forward. Jim Pete explores the questions surrounding the rotation, the real Ubaldo Jimenez, Kyle Lohse sightings, the last guys cut, and whether or not a long-term deal is in the cards for Jason Kipnis and Michael Brantley.

The focus for the Cleveland Indians has been nothing but positive so far in 2013. With all the talk of winning baseball, the potential negatives have been shuffled under the rug a bit. With the team heading into the regular season in two weeks, is there something about this team that just doesn't feel right? This week's power poll takes a look at the potential struggles heading into April.

Ubaldo Jimenez wasn't perfect, but he was better. The Cleveland Indians will need their starting pitching to come through in 2013 for the team to make a legitimate playoff run. While you can never count on the spring training games to guarantee success, this start was certainly a step in the right direction for the Indians' righty.

The Indians have gone from a slow-ish, non-athletic team that depended on walks, to an athletic, speedy team that will depend on big hits and stolen bases. Will that translate into a winning season? The team is also ripe with new leadership, that should help foster the growing number of young players that could emerge over the coming years. Will this new brand of Indians baseball mesh together under the tutelage of Terry Francona?

Terry Francona named Zach McAllister his fourth starter after the righty has pitched well in his last two starts. Now the focus turns to the final spot in the rotation. Will it be Carlos Carrasco, who has missed over a year and has a suspension to face? Is it Kazmir who has missed a year, and seems reborn? Is it Dice K, who has a prior relationship with Francona, or is it Trevor Bauer, the future ace? You make the call...

Ubaldo Jimenez pitched four strong innings, giving up a run without walking a batter, leading the Indians to a 6-4 victory over the San Francisco Giants. Jason Giambi hit his first home run of the spring, while Nick Swisher and Ryan Raburn kept their averages over .500 by driving in five total runs between them. Join Jim Pete on a spring tour of the Indians latest Spring victory.

It's a new day here at the Corner of Carnegie and Ontario. While the North Shore spends it's days trying to figure out why that idiotic muskrat in Punxsutawney said winter would be over in two weeks, I'm busy saving my pennies to pick up my very first Ubaldo Jimenez jersey. That's right, it's time to embrace the enigmatic wonder of Ubaldo, and you'll never, EVER be the same again...

You can say what you want about the Indians' minor league organization, but their depth of talent in the middle infield is second-to-none. How good is it? Arguably their best position player of the past four years is at shortstop, and arguably their best prospect of the past two years is at second. Two of their top three prospects are shortstops, and you could make a case that four of the top five are middle infielders? So, who will be the best?

The Cleveland Indians continued their spring decent down the other side of the mountain on Sunday afternoon, as the Los Angeles Dodgers used a big inning and a big home run to blow open a pitcher's duel in the seventh inning, carrying them to a 5-1 victory over the Indians. The Tribe bullpen showcased perhaps their three biggest arms in Vinnie Pestano, Cody Allen and Nick Hagadone, and they didn't disappoint...for the most part...

The Cleveland Indians sold out their home opener in six-minutes, bringing back memories of the 90's when the Tribe front office managed to sell out entire seasons prior to opening day. The Indians offense has given fans a reason to hope for good things to come, but this season will depend on one thing: Starting Pitching. The starters show up this week at the Corner of Carnegie and Ontario. The big question is, will they show up once the season starts?
