The Akron Aeros fell to the Erie SeaWolves, 5-4, in 10 innings. With the loss, the Aeros lost three of four games in the series against the SeaWolves. Erie has dominated the season-series, winning nine of 14 games. Following a loss by the Harrisburg Senators and a win by the Bowie Baysox, the Aeros now have a 7.5 game lead over both teams in the Eastern League Western Division.

Right fielder Thomas Neal had two extra-base hits, including a home run, as the Akron Aeros eased their way to a 7-1 comeback win over the Erie SeaWolves at Canal Park. The Aeros (48-31) ended a three-game losing streak and picked up another game on second-place Harrisburg, who lost at home against Altoona. The Aeros now lead the Eastern League Western Division by 7.5 games.

Altoona shortstop Brock Holt had two extra-base hits and four RBIs Saturday night, as the Curve crushed the Akron Aeros 13-5 at People’s Natural Gas Field. The win snapped a seven-game winning streak against the Curve, and tied the series at a game apiece.

The Akron Aeros won the first game of a four-game weekend series against Altoona on Friday night, riding another strong start from knuckleballer Steven Wright. Wright (6-4, 1.99) pitched six and two-thirds innings while scattering four hits and three walks.

Left-hander T.J. House has come back this season and rekindled his prospect status. It all started with his offseason workouts and his commitment to conditioning and nutrition, and it carried over from there to getting his mechanics in line and his command back on track. The result to date has been impressive, and Nathan Kemp recently had a chance to sit down and talk with him about his comeback season.

The Reading Phillies scored five times in the seventh inning Saturday night to break open a tie ball game, easing their way to a 7-2 win over the Akron Aeros at First Energy Stadium. With the score tied 2-2, the Phillies (36-27) batted around in the fifth, scoring five runs on five hits off Akron starter T.J. House (4-2, 3.55), including a solo homer by catcher Sebastian Valle and a two-run double by right fielder Leandro Castro.

Akron third baseman Kyle Bellows went 4-for-5, with a pair of doubles and four runs batted in on Sunday, as the Aeros beat up the Altoona Curve, 7-1, completing a three-game sweep at Canal Park. Bellows’ four RBI’s increased his season total to 26, which is the most on the team. It was his second four-hit game of the season and also his second four-RBI effort.

Akron’s Nick Weglarz hit a big walk off homer to right field in the bottom of the 10th inning, pushing the Aeros to a 2-1 victory over the Altoona Curve Saturday night at Canal Park. The home run was Weglarz’s team-leading sixth of the year, and came on a 2-2 pitch from left-handed reliever Jhonathan Ramos. The long ball traveled past the bleachers in right, starting a home plate celebration before the fireworks following the game.

Akron catcher Roberto Perez had three hits and four runs batted in Wednesday night, as the Aeros won 6-4 over the New Britain Rock Cats at Canal Park. Perez had a night of firsts as it was his first three-hit game of the season and also his first multi-RBI game.

Center fielder Tim Fedroff went 4-for-5 with three runs batted in, and first baseman Adam Abraham and left fielder Nick Weglarz each homered Friday as the Akron Aeros defeated the Binghamton Mets, 10-2. The Aeros (33-19) won their fourth straight game to improve to a season-high, 14 games over .500. The win over the Mets (25-27) extended Akron’s lead in the Eastern League Western Division to six games as Harrisburg lost 10-3 at New Britain.

The Akron Aeros broke through with a game-winning RBI-single by catcher Roberto Perez in the bottom of the 14th, as Akron beat the Bowie Baysox 3-2. With the win, Akron finished the homestand with a sweep of the Baysox (22-31). In the bottom of the 14th, Perez singled home right fielder Ben Copeland for the winning run.

Lefty T.J. House and three Aeros relievers combined to throw a four-hit shutout Tuesday, as the Akron Aeros defeated the Bowie Baysox, 3-0, in the opener of a three-game series at Canal Park. Shortstop Ryan Rohlinger hit a two-RBI single in the second off Baysox starter Timothy Bascom (3-3, 4.12), giving the Aeros all the run support needed to win.

The Aeros won the first game, 4-0, as four Aeros pitchers combined to limit SeaWolves hitters to just three hits. The Aeros (29-19) completed an eight-game road trip with a 3-5 record.

Murton’s single to right center off Bryan Price allowed the Thunder (24-20) to gain a split in the four-game series with the Aeros (28-16).
