Will the Indians ever play baseball again? It certainly feels like the Tribe has been in Mother Nature’s doghouse wherever they go this season as they now have four postponements and four games to make up. Fortunately, the team will still be able to get in all four games this weekend as they’ll make up Friday’s series opener on Sunday in a day-night doubleheader. The IBI's Jake Dungan touches on some topics surrounding the team in this rained out edition of Second Thoughts.

The Tribe has been shut out some nights and scored 19 runs the next. It may be just a team trying to find its groove as much of the new additions to the roster are adjusting to the change of scenery. However, the starting rotation, which already came into the season with several question marks, is already in a semi-critical state. The IBI's Jake Dungan takes a look at the state of the Indians rotation...

The Indians lost to the Houston Astros. That pretty much sums it up. The offense continues to struggle with runners on base and in scoring position. Brett Myers gave up two home runs, but still managed to keep the Tribe within striking distance over five innings. The bullpen was once again outstanding pitching four shutout innings. However, it all came back to the offense and lack thereof in scoring opportunities. The IBI's Jake Dungan gives his "second thoughts" on the game...

Cleveland we have a problem. Once again Ubaldo Jimenez took the hill for the Indians, and once again he put up another poor showing, and last night might have been his worst one yet. The IBI's Jake Dungan shares his "second thoughts" on Jimenez and wonders if there are any solutions at the moment, and he also talks about the lack of clutch hitting and more.

There aren’t many starting pitchers, let alone aces in Major League Baseball who are pitching much better than Justin Masterson right now. Carlos Carrasco made his season debut Tuesday night after sitting out 2012 recovering from Tommy John surgery. Needless to say, it was a night he’d like to forget along with the rest of Tribe Nation as Carrasco got rocked by a depleted Yankees lineup for seven runs in three and two thirds innings. The IBI's Jake Dungan has some "second thoughts" on Carrasco's performance and more...

The heavily-advertised Indians offense faltered a bit on Friday as no Indians were able to muster much offense other than Michael Bourn. Right-hander Zach McAllister made his season debut and allowed two earned runs across six innings of work, yet the Indians count never mount enough offense to challenge the Rays. Join the IBI's Jake Dungan as he looks back at the game and offers his Second Thoughts.

Some Tribe fans may have had flashbacks to opening day 2012 watching Thursday’s bout between the Indians and Padres in Peoria, Arizona. Justin Masterson shined in five innings of work leaving with a 3-2 lead. In the seventh, closer Chris Perez came in and not only blew the lead, but gave up four runs on five hits including a pair of 2-run bombs, leading to a 6-4 loss.

The bats were as scorching hot as the Arizona sun Saturday in Peoria as the Indians and Mariners combined for 15 runs off 34 hits with the Tribe doubling up Seattle 10-5. Scott Kazmir struggled for the first time in Cactus League play this spring, but isn’t expected to lose much ground in the race for the fifth starting rotation spot, which is expected to be decided between him and Carlos Carrasco this week.

The Cleveland Indians announced a number of decisions on Monday as a handful of players were reassigned to minor league camp. Delvi Cid is far from what most fans would label a can't-miss prospect, but the young outfielder certainly had a can't-miss moment on Saturday. Cid's walk-off RBI-triple allowed the Indians to clinch a 4-3 over the San Francisco Giants. Along with Cid, Carlos Carrasco, Jason Giambi and Asdrubal Cabrera also had impressive performances. Join the IBI's Jake Dungan as he recaps all of these performances and more as he looks back on the Indians' 13th win of the spring season.

Scott Kazmir’s resume for the Indians’ starting rotation just got longer as the left-hander only allowed three hits and one walk and had four punchouts in four dominant shutout innings. Good pitching by both the Angels and Indians led to a scoreless tie at Goodyear Ballpark on Monday. The Indians move to 11-6-1 in Cactus League play this spring while Los Angeles is now 3-10-1.

The Indians and Royals were able to get in two and a half innings of play before Mother Nature drenched the Phoenix area and resulted in the cancellation of six Cactus League games, including the Indians and Royals game. Before the rains came Drew Stubbs was off to his best game this spring and Corey Kluber was solid in his start. The IBI's Jake Dungan recaps the abbreviated game and provides a few news updates on some walking wounded.
