Indians best Giants in twilight 12-11 shootout
Despite the 49ers scoring a touchdown (with a missed PAT), kicking a field goal and recording a safety, they were no match for the leg of Billy Cundiff, who kicked four field goals in the Browns' 12-11 win. At least that's how tonight's score could be interpreted in football terms since it doesn't make all that much more sense as a baseball score. Join the IBI's Jake Dungan as he recaps Tuesday's late-night slugfest in Goodyear.

Indians sweep split-squad bill against Cubs and Giants
Technically, the Indians were only at half strength in both Scottsdale and Mesa on Sunday as far as their big league roster is concerned with only half of them travelling with each team in the split-squad effort against the Giants and Cubs, but that didn't slow them down as the Tribe emerged victorious in both matches. Join the IBI's Jake Dungan as he provides thoughts and highlights on both games.

Indians and White Sox reach 2-2 stalemate in Glendale
Jake Dungan started his week out here in Arizona with a tie back in Peoria last Saturday when the Indians and Padres played to a 4-4 draw after 10 innings, so it might as well end with one as the Tribe and White Sox ended their bout at Camelback Ranch in Glendale tied at two at the end of regulation play, opting not to play extra innings. Join him as he recaps another tie game by the Tribe in less than a week.

Tribe offense explodes late in third straight victory
In a similar sequence of events to Wednesday's victory over the Padres, the Indians played a close game against the division-rival Royals at Goodyear Ballpark up until the seventh inning, where the Tribe bats came to life with a fury to score nine runs in the seventh and eighth innings to plate nine runs and bury Kansas City 12-6. Join the IBI's Jake Dungan as he recaps Thursday's game live from Arizona.

After a bump in the road on Monday in Goodyear against the Angels, the Indians returned to their winning ways on Tuesday as they took to the road to face off against the Arizona Diamondbacks at Salt River Fields in Talking Stick. Swinging for the Fences: Spring Training Notebook
It's now halftime during Jake Dungan's week in beautiful Goodyear, Arizona. Just in his first few days, he's had the opportunity to see Danny Salazar make his first start of the spring, Carlos Santana play third base live, and the latest performances of the bench, bullpen, and fifth starter candidates. During the Indians' 8-3 loss to the Angels at Goodyear Ballpark, he spent the day roving around the ballpark taking snapshots of the action.

Tribe and Padres play to 4-4 tie after 10 innings in Peoria
A tie game. It serves as a reminder of just how insignificant spring training exhibition records are. While the Indians came out of the gates strong with a three-run first inning, it was defensive miscues and pitching woes that allowed the Padres to work their way back into the game and knot up the score twice, the second being the final at 4-4. Join the IBI's Jake Dungan as he recaps the game live from Arizona.

Bases-loaded walk all Tribe pitchers need in 1-0 shutout
The only scoring in this game came courtesy of Asdrubal Cabrera, who drew a bases-loaded walk off Cubs right-hander Justin Grimm in the bottom of the fourth inning at Goodyear Ballpark. That would prove to be all the Indians hurlers would need on Thursday as the five of them would combine for a 1-0 shutout effort. Join the IBI's Jake Dungan as he covers all the highlights.

Wendle walks off Tribe against White Sox in fifth straight win
It was an afternoon of firsts in Goodyear on Tuesday. David Murphy got his first hit as an Indian, Josh Tomlin and John Axford gave up their first runs of the spring, Bryan Price made his first appearance in big league exhibition play (and got his first win) and Joe Wendle recorded his first RBI in big league camp, and a walk-off at that. The IBI's Jake Dungan recaps the Tribe's dramatic 5-4 win over Chicago.

Swinging for the Fences: Pestano the ultimate x-factor in bullpen
Going back to the Indians' promotional campaign of a couple years ago, let's post the question "What if?" During spring training, this simple phrase echoes throughout all the camps in Arizona and Florida as it prefaces many questions regarding the players in camp. The Tribe is no different in 2014. More specifically, what if Vinnie Pestano returns to form in 2014? The IBI's Jake Dungan speculates on how the bullpen would be affected.

Tribe returns favor with 12-3 blowout win over Cincinnati
If you are a key Indians prospect, you were probably hitting, walking, driving in runs, scoring runs or flashing leather in the field on Thursday as the Indians put a 12-3 shellacking on the Reds at Goodyear Ballpark. Carlos Carrasco earned the win and deservedly so after two perfect innings of work in the third and fourth while the Indians bats came to life in a fury. Join the IBI's Jake Dungan as he recaps the action.

Swinging for the Fences: The Goon Squad Shuffle
Last season, the four primary utility players for the Tribe not only established an identity for themselves to the point where t-shirts were made and sold to the fans. They also backed it up on the field with consistent offense, versatile defense and clutch hits in some of the biggest moments of the season. Can new members carry on the success of last season? The IBI's Jake Dungan introduces the Goon Squad Shuffle.

Swinging for the Fences: 2013 Indians vs. 2009 Rangers
As players descend upon Goodyear, Arizona, many still wonder who and what the Cleveland Indians are heading into 2014 despite winning 92 games the year before. New Tribe outfielder David Murphy stated earlier this week that this Indians team reminds him of the 2009 Rangers team, which by the way was the year before they won back-to-back pennants. Could the Tribe follow in their steps? The IBI's Jake Dungan speculates.
