The ups and downs of a long baseball season can affect even the best players. There was a point when Carolina second baseman Joe Wendle and Lake County right-hander Dylan Baker were red-hot, yet of late, the pair had struggled. That was not the case Wednesday night as both broke out in big ways. To read about their night and everything you need to know about Wednesday in the minor leagues, join Jim Piascik as he takes you Around The Farm.

Tuesday night featured two good performances by players of distinctly opposite value to the Indians organization. At High-A Carolina infielder Paddy Matera continues to impress and has done a nice job filling in after signing as a free agent a few months ago, and at rookie level Arizona first round pick and young phenom Clint Frazier had another big night. The IBI's Arthur Kinney takes us Around the Farm to recap the night.

While most was positive, the biggest name on the list may be Vinnie Pestano, who once again struggled for Columbus. Join Michael Hattery, as he takes a look at Pestano's poor showing, as well as the rest of prospects of interest.

The Indians need help on offense at the big league level, and one player who may be available to help soon is first baseman David Cooper. He is torching the ball on his rehab assignment in Arizona, and may soon get pushed to Triple-A Columbus to give him a few games before adding him to the big league roster. The IBI's Arthur Kinney recaps his performance and others....

Clint Frazier continued his run through the overmatched Arizona League, and even though it's an offensive league, you have to be impressed with the numbers he's been producing. Jose Ramirez, Jesus Aguilar and Dorssys Paulino also all had big nights, showcasing some of the most promising prospects in the entire system. Join Jim Pete with another edition of Around the Farm.

LeVon Washington is starting to heat up and looks to be coming around after his return to the lineup a few weeks ago. Clint Frazier continues to be a beast in Arizona. All that and more as the IBI's Arthur Kinney takes us Around the Farm to review all the notable good and bad performances around the Indians minor league system.

Is there anything better than seeing a top prospect take his team to victory? Sure, Lake County would not have won 1-0 without a shutout pitching performance, but Dorssys Paulino's solo home run provided all the offense the Captains needed. Paulino has continued to turn things around following his rough start and he sustained that constant progress Thursday night. To read about Paulino and everything else you need to know about the night in the minor leagues, join Jim Piascik as he goes Around The Farm.

Considering that Carlos Santana, Yan Gomes, and Lou Marson were all not developed in the organization, it is great to see catchers like Jake Lowery and Alex Lavisky performing like they did Wednesday night. The catching depth looks good in the minors and Lowery and Lavisky are a part of that. To read about what made their performances noteworthy and everything else you need to know about Wednesday night in the minor leagues, join Jim Piascik as he takes you Around The Farm.

Vinne Pestano had looked good as of late since his demotion to Columbus, but Tuesday was unfortunately a different story for the right-hander. Also, a slew of Mahoning Valley players competed in the All-Star Game, and the IBI's Arthur Kinney has the lowdown on each one of these performances. Join Arthur as he runs down the night's performances and takes you Around the Farm.

It was a quiet night on the farm as Columbus, Akron and Mahoning Valley were all off, but Carolina, Lake County and Arizona were all in action and there were some notable performances. The IBI's Michael Hattery chimes in and notes the big night from 17-year old catching prospect Francisco Mejia in Arizona as well as several others.

After yet another depressing loss at the major league level, why not take some time to focus on the happiness and promise of the minor leagues? Why not bask in the insane success of Trevor Frank in the Mahoning Valley bullpen or the way that a finally healthy Alex Monsalve is producing at Akron? Leave all your Tiger trouble behind and join Jim Piascik as he recaps all you need to know about Wednesday night in the minor leagues and goes Around The Farm.

The Cleveland Indians system didn't have a lot of showcase performances on Tuesday night, but it was headlined by some streaking players. Bryson Myles is starting to find his groove now that his injury-prone legs are now healthy and provided a game-winner for Carolina, and Jesus Aguilar hit his fourteenth homer, to answer critics hitting him for his lack of power. Join Jim Pete with Tuesday's ATF.

On nights like last night in Cleveland that leave a bad taste in your mouth, those are the nights when some of us are thankful for the minor leagues as no matter how bad things look on the major league side there is something interesting happened on a given night in the minors. Dorssys Pauino is a prime example of that, and the IBI's Michael Hattery looks at him and more....

Even though two of the Indians minor league affiliates were off there was still a lot of notable action among the four affiliates that played on Sunday. One very notable performance came from lefty Matt Whitehouse who is coming on strong at Mahoning Valley and who may be a sleeper from this year's draft. Tony steps in and recaps the night around the farm and discusses Whitehouse and several other players.

Two of the hottest players in the Indians' farm system continued their hot streaks on Saturday as Bryson Myles' hit streak moved to 16 games while Daisuke Matsuzaka pitched one of his best games of the season. Also, Akron's Jesus Aguilar continued to show signs that his power may be returning as he hit his third home run in eight games. Some guy named Danny Salazar was brilliant again Friday night for Triple-A Columbus. He pitched five no-hit innings with eight strikeouts and was an error away from being perfect in his outing before being removed. The IBI's Arthur Kinney shares his great outing as well as several other good (and bad) outings around the farm on Friday night.
