Things were not as crazy down on the farm Wednesday as they were at Progressive Field, but there were still plenty of interesting things goings on. Headlining the night was outfielder -- which is still a little weird to write -- Dorssys Paulino, who has returned to Lake County swinging well. He was joined by Tyler Naquin continuing his hot streak, Clayton Cook's first game in 25 months, and much more. Join Jim Piascik as he breaks it all down and takes you Around the Farm.

The High-A Carolina Mudcats had a night off on Monday, but the Indians other three farm teams were in action and provided several interesting performances. Alex Lavisky continues to play well at Akron and Adam Plutko continues to dominate at Lake County, and the IBI's Tony Lastoria recaps those performances among many others as he takes us Around the Farm...

The Indians had several players get their first game action of the season on Sunday with a new affiliate or returning from injury. Righty Duke von Schamann made his Triple-A debut and had mixed results, J.C. Ramirez returned from injury with Double-A Akron, outfielder LeVon Washington played in his second game since missing a month due to an injured oblique. The IBI's Tony Lastoria takes us Around the Farm and recaps all of the performances.

An All-Star in 2012, Bryan LaHair should be in Columbus as he works his way back toward the major leagues. Circumstances have him playing in Akron, however, which was a good thing for the RubberDucks Friday night. The first baseman led the RubberDucks to a win in extra innings in addition to headlining the night on the farm. Join Arthur Kinney as he analyzes LaHair's night and much more as he takes you Around the Farm.

Sometimes baseball can be a vicious, what have you done for me lately business. You can ask Scott Barnes about that side of the game. The left-hander was one of the top prospects in the system as recently as last season, but Barnes' struggles in 2013 left him dropping in the rankings and in the major league pecking order. The talent is still there for Barnes, however, as he showed Thursday. Join Jim Piascik as he details Barnes' dominant showing, Matt Carson hitting the ball well, and much more as he takes you Around the Farm.

No matter how often we see that April stats have little predictive use for the rest of the season, it is hard not to react to someone's extreme highs or lows out of the gate. Following about as bad of an April as you can see, it was easy to pile on Ronny Rodriguez. But Rodriguez's recent hot stretch is yet another reason why we cannot make any profound judgment on April stats. Join Jim Piascik as he writes about Rodriguez's powerful day, Tyler Naquin hitting the ball hard, and much more as he takes you Around the Farm.

Akron and Carolina exploded for a lot of runs in their wins on Tuesday night while Columbus and Lake County were both shutout. The IBI's Arthus Kinney recaps the night Around the Farm and notes yet another strong hitting performance from Anthony Gallas and the trio of Bauer, von Schamann and Milbrath who have been lights out this year all struggle on the same night.

When opportunity knocks for a minor leaguer who is not considered a high end prospect, then that player better answer well. That is what Low-A Lake County shortstop Paul Hendrix has done since taking over the everyday shortstop gig 10 days ago, and the IBI's Tony Lastoria talks about his surge in performance and all of the rest of the action Around the Farm on Monday night.

The Indians strong pitching throughout their system continued on Sunday as Ryan Merritt, Kyle Davies, and others pitched well. Two pitches in particular at High-A Carolina continue to pitch well and the IBI's Tony Lastoria talks about them and more in his recap of the performances Around the Farm...

There was an offensive explosion at High-A Carolina while most of the other affiliates struggled to do much hitting and scoring on Saturday night. There were also several good pitching and hitting performances throughout the system, and the IBI's Arthur Kinney takes us Around the Farm to review all of the action.

Some nights, nothing of note happens on the Cleveland sports scene. Others go absolutely crazy (and I'm not just talking about the glorious arrival of Johnny Manziel). The big league team got a win Thursday, but the minor leagues were filled with great performances as well. Adam Plutko put together the best outing of his career, Francisco Lindor hit a huge grand slam, Trevor Bauer continued dealing, and that is just the beginning. Join Jim Piascik as he recaps it all and takes you Around the Farm.

Following a down season at the plate in 2013, it seemed like Roberto Perez was hitting the wall. But the new season brought Perez health and a reinvigorated performance as the catcher is enjoying the best offensive season of his professional career. Join Jim Piascik as he analyzes Perez, the continued emergence of Jordan Milbrath, and the rest of the action Wednesday night in the minor leagues as he takes you Around the Farm.

On Monday night something happened in a baseball game that you rarely see, which was two position players pitching in the same game for the same team. That is what happened with Low-A Lake County after the game went deep into extra innings and the IBI's Tony Lastoria talks about that game and recaps all of the noteworthy performances on the night throughout the Indians farm system.

When Dylan Baker went down with an injury just a few games into the season the Indians needed a pitcher to step up and fill his spot well in the High-A Carolina rotation. Right-hander D.J. Brown saw an opportunity, has since taken it, and has more than stepped up and performed well. The IBI's Tony Lastoria takes a look at his performance as well as a host of others in another edition of Around the Farm.

The Indians named Triple-A Columbus right-handed pitcher Josh Tomlin the starter for Tuesday's game, but right-hander Trevor Bauer did not let the disappointment of not getting the call affect him as he had another outstanding for Columbus. The IBI's Arthur Kinney recaps the night Around the Farm.

It was a wild night out in Lake County. The Captains had a rough go of it in April, but perhaps their come-from-behind win in extra innings on Friday was the spark the team needs to get them going. The IBI's Arthur Kinney talks about two of the players that had a big hand in the winning rally and overall performance in the game and of course takes us Around the Farm to review the rest of the performances around the Indians system on Friday night.

Some nights you just have it. Thursday was certainly one of those nights for Josh Tomlin, as the right-hander was simply dealing. Tomlin had it all as he continues to make his case for a promotion to Cleveland. Clint Frazier also turned some heads, and though he is not making a case for a promotion to Cleveland, the center fielder had an important first Thursday. Join Jim Piascik as he writes about Tomlin, Frazier, and the rest of the action in the minor leagues as he takes you Around the Farm.
