For the first time all spring, the Indians have dropped two straight, falling to the L.A. Angels Monday at Tempe Diablo Stadium, 5-2. L.A. struck for two runs early off Tribe starter Zach McAllister in the first inning, highlighted on a RBI triple by Albert Pujols. The nine-time All-Star went 2-for-2 in the ballgame and helped the Angels extend their winning streak to five straight. Join Jim Berdysz as he recaps the action.

Another season of watching future Tribe hopefuls kicked off for the IBI's Tony Lastoria on Thursday as he was (finally) in Indians camp and had a chance to take in practice and games for the first time this season. And boy did he learn some interesting things in his first day as he found out about two shocking retirements. He also sat down and talked to the front office about a few players, provides a ton of injury updates, talks about the surprises from Adam Plutko this spring and so much more.

You might wonder who came up with the idea of getting baseball teams to travel to warm climates in February, so their players can practice for six weeks to prepare for the real games that count. It’s like your employer paying you to take an extended vacation to a sunny locale. Brilliant! The IBI's DJ Sebastian shares how the Cactus League was started and takes us on a trip down memory lane with lots of good anecdotes from spring training's of the past.

It was a tale of the good, the bad and the ugly Wednesday afternoon at Goodyear Ballpark. Things looked good early on for the Tribe, as Indians hitters jumped to a three run lead through the first four innings against Oakland. Despite a fast start, that would be all the scoring for the Wahoo's in this one, as the Athletics outscored the Tribe 13-0 over the final five frames to pickup an easy 13-3 win. After yielding five earned runs in the ballgame, could Carlos Carrasco now be on the outside looking in for the final spot in the Cleveland rotation? IBI Tribe beat reporter Jim Berdysz shares his thoughts and recaps the action.

Despite the 49ers scoring a touchdown (with a missed PAT), kicking a field goal and recording a safety, they were no match for the leg of Billy Cundiff, who kicked four field goals in the Browns' 12-11 win. At least that's how tonight's score could be interpreted in football terms since it doesn't make all that much more sense as a baseball score. Join the IBI's Jake Dungan as he recaps Tuesday's late-night slugfest in Goodyear.

With the luck of the Irish on his sleeve, a two-run double by Reds minor leaguer Steve Selsky to the green outfield sealed the contest over the Indians Monday afternoon, 5-4. Tribe starter Corey Kluber pitched into the fifth inning, but allowed three runs on seven hits in 4 1/3 innings. Cleveland also received injury news on Michael Bourn, leaving his Opening Day status in question. IBI Tribe beat reporter Jim Berdysz shares his thoughts and recaps the action.

Technically, the Indians were only at half strength in both Scottsdale and Mesa on Sunday as far as their big league roster is concerned with only half of them travelling with each team in the split-squad effort against the Giants and Cubs, but that didn't slow them down as the Tribe emerged victorious in both matches. Join the IBI's Jake Dungan as he provides thoughts and highlights on both games.

In front of a rare sellout crowd at Goodyear Ballpark, the Cleveland Indians stranded nine runners en route to a 4-2 loss to the hometown Arizona Diamondbacks. With five-projected everyday players in the starting lineup, the Indians offense failed to capitalize on 11 hits, including three doubles from left-fielder Mike Aviles. Join Rob Fuller as he recaps the action.

Jake Dungan started his week out here in Arizona with a tie back in Peoria last Saturday when the Indians and Padres played to a 4-4 draw after 10 innings, so it might as well end with one as the Tribe and White Sox ended their bout at Camelback Ranch in Glendale tied at two at the end of regulation play, opting not to play extra innings. Join him as he recaps another tie game by the Tribe in less than a week.

In a similar sequence of events to Wednesday's victory over the Padres, the Indians played a close game against the division-rival Royals at Goodyear Ballpark up until the seventh inning, where the Tribe bats came to life with a fury to score nine runs in the seventh and eighth innings to plate nine runs and bury Kansas City 12-6. Join the IBI's Jake Dungan as he recaps Thursday's game live from Arizona.
