It has been a while since the Columbus Clippers (5-7) last played, but the team returned to the field in style, on Thursday. After being rained out for the past two days in Indianapolis, the Clippers were forced to move on to Toledo -- and move on they did. Good pitching from the entire staff was instrumental as the Clippers cruised to a 3-0 win over the Toledo Mud Hens at Fifth Third Field.

The Clippers are 3-7 to start the season and although it's early are tied for last in the International League West standings with the Toledo Mudhens. Columbus' problems have been inconsistent with the losses coming between one and eight runs. Another week has passed in the season and there is still no one place to blame for the struggling Clippers. Join Adrienne Robbins as she goes Sailing with the Clippers.

As the old saying goes – nothing in life worth doing comes easy. For the Columbus Clippers (3-7) Sunday afternoon’s 10-9 triumph was neither an easy victory, nor an ultimate failure, but it could have gone either way. The Clippers built an eight-run lead, and almost saw it disappear against the Indianapolis Indians (9-2) at Victory Field.

To start off The WAR Room, Jim Piascik will be going back to 2013 and going over last year's performances. Ideally this is something that would happen in the offseason, but since he was not able to compute these stats until now, they have to run now. Join Jim as he goes over the 2013 Columbus Clippers pitchers, including Trevor Bauer's year to forget, T.J. House's rising profile, and much more.

The Columbus Clippers continued their slow start to the season with a 12-4 loss to Lousiville Saturday. Columbus starter Brett Brach couldn't make it out of the first inning as a 2-0 lead turned into a 6-2 deficit for the visitors. A pair of two-run innings weren't enough to salvage the game for Columbus as the team was outhit by the Bats, 15 to seven.

In his first two starts of the season, Columbus Clippers (2-6) starting pitcher Tyler Cloyd has done his best Jekyll and Hyde impersonation. After giving up six earned runs in 3.1 innings last Sunday, Cloyd was outstanding in his return performance in the Clippers 4-2 win over the Louisville Bats (4-3) on Friday night.

As a soon-to-be 24-year-old just now debuting at Double-A, Joe Wendle is bound to have some questions about his future. So far in 2014, Wendle is doing what he does best to answer those questions -- hitting -- and Thursday night was no different. Joining Wendle is a catcher in Lake County continuing his development, some rough pitching performances throughout the system, and much more. Join Jim Piascik as he takes you Around the Farm.

Louisville Bats third baseman Chris Nelson has become a problem for the Columbus Clippers. For the second time in as many days, Nelson provided the winning hit, this time in walk-off fashion as the Louisville Bats defeated the Clippers 6-5 in the Bats home opener at Louisville Slugger Field on Thursday night.

Death, taxes (which Jim Piascik finished last night), and #WashTime making noise on the field. Anyone familiar with Cleveland's minor league system knows to expect great things when LeVon Washington is on the field and Wednesday was no exception. Joining Washington is a Lake County pitcher showing some surprising swing and miss in his game, a pair of organizational debuts with the RubberDucks, and more. The Columbus Clippers fell 4-1 against Louisville Wednesday after a seventh inning grand slam. Scott Barnes allowed the bomb to the first batter he faced, pinning three runs on starter T.J. House, who had pitched a scoreless six innings off the bat. Bryan LaHair drove in Carlos Moncrief with a sharp single, but the lone run wasn't enough for Columbus to sneak out with a win.

Ideally this is something that would happen in the offseason, but since I was not able to compute these stats until now, they have to run now. Designated hitter Jesus Aguilar continued his hot streak from the plate smacking two home runs (three in last two games) and driving in five of the Clippers six runs to help the team collect its first win of the season 6-5 over the Louisville Bats. Five games into the season, the Columbus Clippers finally got into the win column defeating the Bats in dramatic fashion Tuesday night at Huntington Park.

The Columbus Clippers could not avoid a sweep after falling to the Indianapolis Indians 8-3 on Sunday in front of 6,735 people at Huntington Park. Tyler Cloyd made his pitching debut with the Clippers, but struggled mightily resulting in the team's fourth consecutive loss. Columbus hopes to find their way into the win column on Monday as they host the Louisville Bats.

Hoping to get their first win of the season, the Columbus Clippers took on the Indianapolis Indians in a Saturday double header. The attempt fell short as Columbus lost both games. Brett Brach pitched a solid game two, finishing four innings without giving up an earned run, but still found himself tagged with the loss.
