The Indians traded their ace out of town Wednesday, but it was the Tribe's true ace they held hidden up their sleeve. Corey Kluber is that true ace, and he was paired up against the game's best king in the Mariners starter Felix Hernandez. Even in this poker game, the ace defeated the king and took home the jackpot, as Cleveland blanked Seattle, 2-0 on Kluber's complete game shutout. Join IBI Tribe beat reporter Jim Berdysz as he recaps the game from the ballpark.

The Cleveland Indians lost to the Seattle Mariners on Tuesday night by a score of 5-2. It's always good to take advantage of what's in front of you. Seattle and third baseman Kyle Seager did just that against an Indians team which continues its search for consistency. Back at Progressive Field Tuesday for the first time in over two weeks, the Mariners took down the Tribe, 5-2, in what became Trevor Bauer's worst start of the season. Join IBI Indians beat reporter Jim Berdysz as he recaps the frustrating loss from the ballpark.

The MLB trade deadline is only three days away. But even with the poor showing they are still only 3.5 games out of a playoff spot with two months to play. The IBI's Tony Lastoria provides his thoughts on if the Indians should by or sell, what they even have to sell, how Carlos Santana has been the best hitter in the AL for two months and more.

It is a rare evening in Kauffman Stadium that a game's outcome is determined by the team to hit the fifth home run, but - in the spirit of 'You Can't Predict Baseball' - Carlos Santana's two home run game was outpaced by Kansas City's three home run game. Even in one of the most spacious parks in the majors, Indians Josh Tomlin struggled, surrendering two long balls in the game. The IBI's John Grimm examines Tomlin's fly ball tendencies, both the problems they generate and the benefits that they do not.

It's tough to definitively say what could've been in the game of baseball, but if there was ever one single play to point to as the primary cause for a loss, Ryan Raburn accomplished that feat on Thursday. Danny Duffy had his good stuff working, but Corey Kluber was better and could've very well had a shutout win. Join the IBI's Jake Dungan as he recaps an especially tough loss for the Tribe.
