Second Thoughts Game #151: Indians 2, Astros 0
On Tuesday, Corey Kluber struck out a career high 14 Astros over seven innings. It was yet another outstanding performance by one of the best pitchers in all of baseball. However, it’s Carlos Carrasco, not Kluber, who has been the team’s best pitcher since August, and he showed it with a dominating complete shutout in the Indians 2-0 win on Wednesday. Storylines: Indians move High-A affiliate to Lynchburg
The Indians made some news on Wednesday night before and during the game. Before the game it was learned that they will be moving their High-A affiliate from Carolina to Lynchburg for the 2015 season. Three under the radar offseason targets for the Indians
The IBI's Jeff Ellis chimed in on Monday with his thoughts as to why the Indians should go after Adrian Beltre in a trade this offseason. Some liked his idea, while others did not due to the amount of money he makes, his age and the cost in terms of prospects to acquire him. Today, Jeff takes a look at three lesser players that may not cost as much to acquire in terms of dollars or prospects, though come with a little more risk and less of a track record.

Second Thoughts Game #150: Indians 4, Astros 2
Corey Kluber struck out a career high 14 batters over seven innings and the Cleveland Indians (77-73) broke a four game losing streak, defeating the Houston Astros (67-84) 4-2 on Tuesday night. Tribe Happenings: There is a lot of blame to pass around
The Indians funk over the last two weeks has ruined their playoff hopes. They are still mathematically alive, but barring a miracle they are now in preparation mode for next season. Now that the season looks to be over, the immediate reaction is to look back at what went wrong and what prevented them from having the success that many wanted from them this season. The last thing the Indians could have afforded was going 2-5 last week and getting swept by the Tigers in the process. For all intents and purposes, the Indians playoff hopes are over. Shaw's struggles continue; Indians fall to Detroit, 6-4
If Saturday was a nightmare for Bryan Shaw, Sunday became a horrific tragedy. Leading 3-2 in the seventh, the roar of the Tigers lineup became too much for both Shaw and the Indians for the second straight day. Backed by more timely hits, the Tigers swept Cleveland out of Motown in the series finale, by a 6-4 defeat at Comerica Park. Avila homer sends Tigers over Indians, 5-4
Clinging to a 4-3 lead with two outs in the eighth, Detroit's Alex Avila sent Cleveland to their most crushing defeat with one swing of the bat. The Tigers catcher connected on what became a game-winning two-run homer off Bryan Shaw, sending the Tribe to a 5-4 loss Saturday night.
