Oh, the many fun things that can happen over small sample sizes. If we did not know any better, Jesus Aguilar’s 1-for-10 skid to start his time in the Venezuelan Winter League would be a concern. But after knocking a home run, a triple, and a single Monday night, Aguilar continued to show things are alright on Wednesday. Join Jim Piascik as he recaps Aguilar’s night and the rest of the action from across the globe as he takes you Around the Farm.

It wasn't a memorable series in that five of the seven games were decided by five or more runs, but it certainly had its moments with a dramatic Game 7 nailbiter and a superhuman performance throughout the series from Madison Bumgarner. In the end, the Giants won their third title in five years and Bumgarner is on top of the baseball world. The IBI's Tony Lastoria fills in with the news and notes from around baseball on Wednesday.

The Indians are going to explore a lot of trades this offseason, many upon many of which will not come to fruition. Some of their key players like Michael Brantley, Corey Kluber and Yan Gomes are untouchable, but in the right deal some of their core pieces could be dealt. One of those players is second baseman, and while a trade may ultimately not happen this offseason, the IBI's Jeff Ellis looks at four trades he would consider for Kipnis.

What once was a big issue for the organization with developing their own bullpen prospects has turned into a pretty steady stream of talent in the big leagues and upper levels. The IBI's Tony Lastoria recently sat down and spoke with another emerging bullpen prospect Louis Head who is pitching in the Arizona Fall League this offseason.

Jason Kipnis' good 2013 season earned him a big contract extension earlier this season and it looked like he would be one of the key cogs to the lineup for years to come. But his performance went backwards this season and now the decision looks to be a regrettable one for the Tribe. For the Indians to take the next step next season and get back to the playoffs, the IBI's Hayden Grove believes getting Kipnis back on track and healthy is a big key.
