The college baseball season is getting into full swing, and there are some big games on the docket this weekend. The biggest of which pits #5 Florida State against #11 Georgia Tech. IBI Draft guru Jeff Ellis previews the weekend and lists the top three games to watch and lets us know which players we should pay extra special attention to.

On Wednesday, Trevor Bauer made his last case for a rotational turn in Cleveland come April, and on Thursday was optioned to Columbus. Carrasco made his last case for a rotational turn in Cleveland, but the cards are stacked against him with his suspension and injury playing a key part in the decision-making process. It wasn’t long ago that Lonnie Chisenhall was one of the true can’t-miss prospects in baseball. Armed with solid power, projectable defensive skills and a swing straight out of the movies, Chisenhall was atop many Cleveland Indians’ fans’ top prospects list. They weren’t the only ones enamored with Chisenhall. Injuries and inconsistency have plagued him some the past two seasons, and this is a big season him.

It was another busy day at the complex on Wednesday as Tony bounced back and forth between the Reds and Indians' complex to see all four Indians' affiliates in action and see a ton of players. In today's update he has some comments from the front office on the likes of Joe Sever, Tyler Booth, Tony Wolters and others, and also provides some insight into things he saw and heard about Mitch Brown, Francisco Mejia, Manuel Boscan and others, and also shares several recorded fastball velocities for pitchers that threw on Wednesday.

The Cleveland Indians reduced their spring roster today by optioning RHP Trevor Bauer, RHP Corey Kluber and LHP Scott Barnes to Columbus. They also sent LHP Giovanni Soto, a non-roster invitee, to minor league camp. Jim Pete gives his thoughts on the roster moves the Indians made today, and what repercussions it could have on the Indians as they get set to break camp in a week.

The Indians Trevor Bauer took the mound on Wednesday for the Cleveland Indians in his quest to earn the fifth spot in the rotation. While Bauer hit a bit of a road block, the Indians' bullpen showcased how tough they can be. The Indians head through March Madness with a zany amount of sanity with regards to their roster. While there are a bunch of questions regarding the staff, it appears as though the 25-man roster is set heading forward. Jim Pete explores the questions surrounding the rotation, the real Ubaldo Jimenez, Kyle Lohse sightings, the last guys cut, and whether or not a long-term deal is in the cards for Jason Kipnis and Michael Brantley.

Tuesday was a camp day at Indians minor league camp which meant a short workout in the morning followed by two five innings games pitting AAA vs AA and A+ vs A. Left fielder Jorge Martinez had the big blow of the day with a towering two-run homer to right center, but several others such as Anthony Gallas, Tyler Naquin, Tony Wolters, Ronny Rodriguez, Francisco Mejia and many more had good showings.

The World Baseball Classic came to a close on Tuesday night when the Dominican Republic defeated Puerto Rico 3-0 to win the WBC crown. The Indians featured five active players, and with the tournament over the IBI's Kevin Dean reviews the performances by all five players in what was really an exciting, well played tournament.

Jason Kipnis finds himself on this list for one big reason: the .233/.322/.328 line he posted after the All-Star break last season. Once upon a time last season Kipnis was up for consideration as an All Star and potentially a 30-30 season, but a poor second half leaves some questions as to what can be expected of him in 2013. He is expected to be the lynch pin in the lineup from Bourn and Cabrera to Swisher and Santana, and the IBI's Michael Goodman believes it makes him the most crucial player in the lineup.

The minor league games rolled on Monday with the Indians four affiliates squaring off against the Reds. With the first round of roster cuts looming, there were several players that strengthened their case to be kept and others that struggled and maybe put themselves in danger of being let go.
