The Midwest League announced that the Low-A Lake County infielder Adam Abraham has been named Midwest League Batter of the Week for the week of July 26 through August 1.

For the week, Abraham hit .440 (11-for-25) with two home runs and 13 RBI’s in six games. He added three doubles and had a .533 on base percentage and a .800 slugging percentage. He also scored six runs, had five walks, and struck out just two times.

Abraham missed the cycle by a triple while knocking in five runs on Wednesday. On Thursday he doubled and on Friday he collected two singles. On Saturday, he homered, had two RBIs and two runs scored while going 3-for-4. He closed out the hot week on Sunday with five more RBI, doubling, singling and knocking in a run with a well-placed ground ball to first base.

Abraham, a 23 year old infielder from Grosse Pointe, MI, currently has a 19 game on base streak and has raised his batting average from .200 to .251 since July 15. Since the All Star break in late June, he is hitting .323 (43-for-133) with 8 HR, 31 RBI, and has a .959 OPS in 36 games.
