Around the Farm (ATF) takes a quick look at some of the daily performances by Indians prospects. This is a special fall and winter ball version of ATF that recaps all the offseason action by Indians players in Instructional League, advanced Instructional League (AZPL), the Arizona Fall League (AFL), and the Caribbean Leagues.  The positions listed below are where the player was playing in the game.

Here are the game reports for the Arizona Parallel League (AZPL) game played on Tuesday and the AFL game played on Wednesday.

Arizona Fall League: October 5
  • Tim Fedroff (LF): 1-for-5, R, K. Fedroff is looking to build upon a very good regular season and possibly be viewed as more than a fourth outfielder in the big leagues.
  • Roberto Perez (C): 1-for-4, 2 R, HR, 3 RBI, BB. Offense is what Perez is in the AFL to work, and this game was a great start for the defensive-minded catcher.
Parallel League Game #9: October 4 vs. Surprise
  • Kyle Bellows (1B): 1-for-3, R, HR, 2 RBI, BB. Somebody put whatever has gotten into Bellows out in Arizona into a bottle and contain it. He is hitting .310 with 3 HR, 9 RBI and a .690 slugging percentage in 9 games out in the AZPL.
  • Casey Frawley (SS): 1-for-3, R, K. After just one plate appearance on Monday the Frawley Man got to play his first full game on Tuesday.
  • Carlos Moncrief (LF): 1-for-4. Aside from Bellows no other Indians’ player has played in more AZPL games this fall. He is hitting .407 with 0 HR and 4 RBI in 8 games.
  • Alex Monsalve (C): 1-for-3, E. With Cannon out for an unknown amount of time Monsalve is the new regular backstop in the AZPL. So far in 4 games he is 5-for-12 at the plate.
  • Robel Garcia (3B): 0-for-3, 2 K. With Bellows playing some first base, the Indians sent over Garcia to get some action in at third base.
  • Hector Ambriz (SP): 0.2 IP, 2 H, 4 R/ER, 1 BB, 2 K. Up until this outing Ambriz had looked great in the AZPL as he had pitched 4.0 innings and allowed one run in three appearances.
  • J.D. Reichenbach (RP): 2.1 IP, 3 H, 3 R/ER, 2 BB, 0 K. This was Reichenbach’s fourth outing of the fall and once again he was not good. In 6.1 innings he has allowed 9 hits and 6 walks.
  • Francisco Jimenez (RP): 1.1 IP, 2 H, 2 R/ER, 2 BB, 0 K. Jimenez needed 43 pitches to get through his 1.1 innings, which was clearly a struggle.
