Around the Farm (ATF) takes a quick look at some of yesterday’s performances by Indians prospects throughout the system. This is a special fall and winter ball version of ATF that recaps all the offseason action by Indians players in the Arizona Fall League (AFL) and the Caribbean Leagues. The positions listed below are where the player was playing in yesterday’s game.

Anderson Polanco (Leones del Escogido, RP) - 0.1 IP, 2 BB ( 1 intentiaonl), 1 K, 1 WP - This is Anderson's third relief appearance (and his first in over a month), each exactly 0.1 IP in length.  While it is a small sample size, the irregular playing time and Tuesday night's control issues do not combine to paint a rosy picture of his winter, however. That said, he like a lot of other young players are getting some opportunities as the Dominican season winds down this week.

Antonio Romero (Leones del Escogido, RP) - 1 IP, 1 H, 2 BB, 1 K - Another garbage time appearance by a rarely-used reliever (now at 4.0 IP in 3 outings).  Hopefully, he does well when we get a more regular look at the Cuban defector when he comes stateside in the Spring.

Audy Ciriaco (Estrellas Orientales, 3B) - 1-4, 1 R, 1 K - Unspectacular, but solid.  I'll take "unspectacular, but solid" from Ciriaco this winter. He's a nice depth guy to have around at Columbus next season and fill a lot of different roles.

Roberto Perez (Indios de Mayaguez, C) - 0-1, 1 BB, 1 K - Roberto had an uneventful night at the plate before the game was suspended in the top of the fifth with the Indios up 1-0 on the Cangrejeros de Santurce.

Anthony Gallas (Aguilas del Zulia, DH) - 1-4, 1 R, 1 HR, 1 RBI, 1 K, 1 HBP - Anthony only had one hit on the night, but it was a big one (an eighth inning home run to tie up the game). The Aguilas went on to lose 4-3 to the Leones del Carcas in eleven innings). He now has strikeouts in 12 of the 13 games he has played.

Tim Fedroff (Mayos de Navojoa, RF) - 1-4, 3 K - Fedroff extends his hitting streak to three games but picks up a hat trick.  Fedroff still has not signed with any Major League organization as of yet.
