Around the Farm (ATF) takes a quick look at some of yesterday’s performances by Indians prospects throughout the system. This is a special fall and winter ball version of ATF that recaps all the offseason action by Indians players in the Arizona Fall League (AFL) and the Caribbean Leagues. The positions listed below are where the player was playing in yesterday’s game.

Anthony Gallas (RF, Aguilas del Zulia) - 2-3, 1 R, 1 HR, 1 RBI, 2 BB - Gallas combines good plate discipline with a leadoff homer in the top of the 6th for possibly his best outing of the winter season. He's starting to heat up just before the close of the Venezuela regular season and his return to the states.

Toru Murata (SP, Caribes de Anzoategui) - L (0-2), 4.2 IP, 4 H, 4 R (all earned), 5 BB (1 intentional), 5 K, 1 HR allowed, 1 WP - Murata has his second difficult night on the mound in a row as his struggles from the North American season continue. That's not a very pretty stat line.

Ramon Rodriguez (RP, Caribes de Anzoategui) - 1 IP, 2 H, 1 R (earned), 1 K - Ram-Rod's uneven Caribbean campaign continues. Considering his lack of experience above Single-A ball, it is amazing how much he has pitched this offseason.

Erik Gonzalez (SS, Leones del Escogido) - 0-3, 2 K - Gonzalez sees his three-game hitting streak come to an end as he returns to his uneven early-winter form. It is interesting how he showed up in the final few weeks of the Dominican season and was not with them all along.

Audy Ciriaco (3B, Estrellas Orientales) - 1-3, 1 HR, 1 RBI - Another one-hit night from Ciriaco.  This one, however, was a solo shot to left in the fifth. He's the super utility guy tabbed for Columbus again.

Tim Fedroff (PR-backup RF) - 0-2, 1 R - Fedroff goes hitless but scored after entering the game as a pinch runner for inured starting LF Jon Weber in the top of the 4th inning.
