Around the Farm (ATF) takes a quick look at some of the daily performances by Indians prospects. This is a special fall and winter ball version of ATF that recaps all the offseason action by Indians players in offseason winter ball leagues.  The positions listed below are where the player was playing in the game.

Carlos Santana (Leones del Escogido, 3B): 1-5, 1 RBI, 1 E. The whole "Santana at 3B" experiment doesn't seem to be working out.  He picks up another error (his fifth in seven games).  His offense also hit a speed bump after back-to-back multiple-hit nights.  The good thing about this experiment is that it is happening in winter ball rather than in Spring Training, where it would be more likely to have a negative impact in his mental game into the regular season.

Ryan Battaglia (Brisbane Bandits, DH): 0-1, 1 R, 3 BB, 1 K, 1 HBP. Battaglia put up one of the more unusual stat-lines of the winter as he manages only one official at-bat, but reaches base four times.  I would comment on Battaglia's winter season as a whole, but it would be nothing different than what's been said over and over this winter (i.e., underwhelming outside of the power numbers).
