It's quiet. Too quiet.

Around the Farm (ATF) takes a quick look at some of the daily performances by Indians prospects. This is a special fall and winter ball version of ATF that recaps all the offseason action by Indians players in offseason winter ball leagues.  The positions listed below are where the player was playing in the game.

Carlos Santana (Leones del Escogido, DH): 0-for-4. Santana was the only Indian to play in the Caribbean on the night, and he had a quiet night as he failed to get on base.  He DHed, so there's nothing to say about his performance in the field where he has mostly split time at third base and first base the past week. Considering that Santana is with his Escogido team at the outset of the playoffs, one would think that he plays with them for the duration of the playoffs and how far his team goes.

Ryan Battaglia (Brisbane Bandits, DH): 1-for-4, 1 R, 1 RBI, 1 K, 1 HBP. Battaglia fared significantly better than Santana as he got on base twice, scored a run and drove one in. The single was a rarity for him this offseason as he has a nearly 3:1 ratio of extra base hits to singles. [Small sample size alert]

I told you it was a quiet night...
