Around the Farm (ATF) takes a quick look at some of yesterday’s performances by Indians prospects throughout the system. This is a special fall and winter ball version of ATF that recaps all the offseason action by Indians players in the Arizona Fall League (AFL) and the Caribbean Leagues. The positions listed below are where the player was playing in yesterday’s game.

Jose Ramirez (Toros del Este, 2B) - 3-5, 1 R, 1 RBI, 1 SB - J-Ram extends his hitting streak to three games withhits in six of his most recent seven ballgames.  Unfortuantely, a weak start to his winter means that this outing only got his average up to .217.

Audy Ciriaco (Estrellas Orientales, backup 3B) - Ciriaco recently resigned with the Indians. He did not have a plate appearance in this game after entering in the bottom of the 8th as a defensive replacement.

Carlos Santana (DH) - 1-3, 2 BB (1 intentional), 1 K - While one of the walks was intentional, Santana has a solid evening at the plate in Okinawa reaching base in three of his five plate appearances. Same old same old for Santana.

Carlos Moncrief (Aguilas del Zulia, starting RF) - 2-3, 1 2B, 2 RBI, 1 K - Moncrief has a big night and increases his batting average to .301 on the winter season before being pulled from the game for pinch hitter Robert Hernandez in the bottom of the 8th.

Jesus Aguilar (Leones del Caracas, 1B) - 0-4, 1 BB, 2 K - Aguilar has his first hitless night in over a week.  Hopefully this is a blip on the radar screen and not a return to his struggles from earlier in the offseason.

Roberto Perez (Indios de Mayaguez, C) - 0-4, 1 RBI, 1 Sac Fly - Even though the Tribe's backup backstop didn't get on base on Tuesday night, he did drive in a run on a third inning sacrifice fly.
