Around the Farm (ATF) takes a quick look at some of the daily performances by Indians prospects. This is a special fall and winter ball version of ATF that recaps all the offseason action by Indians players in offseason winter ball leagues.  The positions listed below are where the player was playing in the game.

Jesus Aguilar (Leones del Caracas, 1B): 1-4, 2 K’s. Following a strong game back on Tuesday, Aguilar went 1-4 with two strikeouts on Wednesday. However, he was able to extend his current hitting streak as he looks to regain his form from earlier in the winter season. Aguilar is now hitting .308 with 11 home runs, 35 RBI's, and 26 strikeouts to 15 walks in 36 games this winter.

Erik Gonzalez (Leones del Escogido, SS): 1-4, 2 K’s. It appears Gonzalez might be starting to come back down to earth. He's now hitting .278 in his last 10 games, but still holds a .347 average overall. It's going to be interesting to see how Gonzalez progresses this coming season. Even though the Indians protected him on the 40 man roster, his plate discipline and defense are a long ways from being major league ready.

Carlos Moncrief (Gigantes de Carolina, DH):  1-3, 2 K’s. Moncrief extended his hitting streak to six games, but added two more strikeouts to his winter total (23 K's in 69 at-bats). There's some hope that he could become an option in the Indians outfield as soon as this summer, but his performance thus far with Gigantes has to be becoming a concern.

Brett Brach (Gigantes de Carolina P): 3.2 IP, 6 H, 1 ER, 3 K's. Brach gave up plenty of hits in this appearance, but managed to limit the damage. In addition to his line, an errant pickoff attempt contributed to an unearned run crossing the plate. Brach, who has a chance to open up in Columbus next season, now has a 6.75 ERA overall this winter.

Roberto Perez (Indios de Mayaguez C): 0-1. Perez continues to get just a few at-bats with Indios. He came in during eighth inning in this came and grounded out in his only at-bat. Perez is still looking for his first hit this winter.
