Around the Farm (ATF) takes a quick look at some of yesterday’s performances by Indians prospects throughout the system. This is a special fall and winter ball version of ATF that recaps all the offseason action by Indians players in the Arizona Fall League (AFL) and the Caribbean Leagues. The positions listed below are where the player was playing in yesterday’s game.

Audy Ciriaco (Estrellas Orientales, 3B) - 1-3, 1 R, 1 2B, 1 RBI, 1 BB, 1 E - Ciriaco seems to be out of his recent mini-slump with his hitting streak reaching five games.  He also has hit in six of his last seven.  His error on Friday night is his first in 19 winter ball games.

Jose Ramirez (2B, Toros del Este) - 2-5, 1 R, 1 RBI, 1 K - J-Ram extends his hitting streak to six and makes it nine of his last ten games with at least one hit, six of those with multiple hits.  Finally, J-Ram is starting to play like J-Ram this winter.

J.C. Ramirez (RP, Gigantes de Carolina) - 1 IP, 1 H, 1 K - A solid mound appearance for the free agent righty, who has made a mostly solid case to teams looking to sign him in limited innings this winter.

Roberto Perez (C, Indios de Mayaguez) - 0-3, 1 R, 2 BB, 1 K - Another night where Perez makes the most of a rough night with the bat with his solid plate discipline.  On the winter, Perez is only batting .214, but is getting on base at a .400 clip.  While the batting average really needs to rise in what is a key offseason for him, the .186 isolated plate discipline (not sure if that's a real stat, but I like it) is nice to see.

Ramon Rodriguez (RP, Caribes de Anzoategui) - 0.1 IP, 1 BB, 1 K - Really too short of an outing to make any conclusions from, even for a pitcher receiving as limited of innings (16.0 IP in 13 games so far this winter) as Ram-Rod.

Carlos Moncrief (starting RF, Aguilas del Zulia) - 1-3, 1 R, 1 2B - Moncrief picks up his first hit in eight days before being pinch hit for by ex-Cubs farmhand Robert Hernandez in the bottom of the seventh.

Ryan Battaglia (PH-backup DH, Brisbane Bandits) - 0-1 - Battaglia grounded into a forceout in the bottom of the eighth in his only contribution to the Bandits' 9-0 win over the Melbourne Aces on Friday after coming in for staring DH Maxx Tissenbaum.

Tim Fedroff (RF, Mayos de Navojoa) - 1-4, 1 R, 1 2B, 1 K - Fedroff, the lone Wahoo in the LMP, extends his hitting streak to three games with a second inning double. He is still a free agent and unsigned.
