Around the Farm (ATF) takes a quick look at some of yesterday’s performances by Indians prospects throughout the system. This is a special fall and winter ball version of ATF that recaps all the offseason action by Indians players in the Arizona Fall League (AFL) and the Caribbean Leagues. The positions listed below are where the player was playing in yesterday’s game.

Jesus Aguilar (Leones del Caracas, 1B) - 1-4, 1 R, 1 HR, 2 RBI - Aguilar's ripped a two-out, two-run homer in thebottom of the third inning. It was yet another tantalizing reminder of the power and production he could one day provide in Cleveland.

Giovanny Urshela (Aguilas de Zuila, 3B) - 1-3, 1 RBI, 1 K, 1 Sac Fly - Not the stellar night we have been getting used to from Urshela in winter ball, but he did see his hitting streak reach five games and it was still a productive day at the plate.

Carlos Moncrief (Aguilas del Zulia, starting RF) - 0-2 - Moncrief had a rough night at the plate before being pulled for pinch-hitter Robert Hernandez in the seventh inning.

Elvis Araujo (Aguilas del Zulia, RP) - W (2-0), 1 IP, 1 K - Araujo's nearly-perfect inning (the second runner got on base, but was doubled off to end the inning) allowed the Aguilas to come back in the bottom of the tenth for a 3-2 win.

Jose Ramirez (Toros del Este, SS) - 0-4 - Not much happened in this one as Ramirez was the lone Indian in action on a quiet night in the Dominican (two games scheduled, one of them rained out). He's not off to quite to start in winter ball as the last two seasons.

J.C. Ramirez (Gigantes de Carolina, RP) - 0.2 IP, 1 H, 1 R (earned), 1 K, 1 HR allowed - One bad pitch ruins the free agent righty's outing.

Giovanni Soto (Gigantes de Carolina, RP) - 1 IP, 1 BB, 1 K - Soto pitched a solid inning of relief in the eighth inning and continues his strong start in winter ball.

Francisco Lindor (DH) - 1-3, 1 R, 1 BB, 1 K, Caught Stealing 1 time - For the second straight night, Lindor gets on base twice, one time each with a hit and a walk.

Tony Wolters (2B) - 1-3, 1 RBI, 1 BB, 2 K, Caught Stealing 1 time - Wolters extends his hitting streak to five games and has a hit in eight of his last nine games.  For as consistent as he has been, in only one of those games has he recorded a multi-hit effort.
