AZL Indians pitching and defense bedazzle Royals

GOODYEAR - It is about time.

The defense and pitching finally meshed last night as lefty Luis Lugo threw the game of the year for the AZL Indians to date and helped lead his team to a 3-1 win over the AZL Royals.

Lugo went five innings giving up just two hits and one walk. Lugo got ahead of nearly every batter he faced last night and was in a great rhythm from the words “play ball.” Lugo had struggled some leading up to his start on Wednesday night, but last night was a great stride for him in what was the cleanest played game for the young AZL Indians this season.
