The Cleveland Indians today announced that they have placed shortstopAsdrubal Cabrera on the disabled list with a right quadriceps strain and have recalled infielder Juan Diaz from Triple-A Columbus.

Cabrera was injured running out a fifth inning ground ball in Monday night's 7-4 loss in Yankee Stadium. For the season he is hitting .254 (52-for-205) with 28 runs, 18 doubles, 2 triples, 5 home runs and 25 RBI in 53 games. He currently leads the team and is tied for 4th in the AL in doubles (18) and tied for 12th in the league in extra base hits (team-high 25). He also owns a 33-game errorless streak.

Diaz has spent the entire season to date at shortstop for the Clippers and is hitting .211 (40-for-190) with 8 2B, 4 HR and 18 RBI in 52 games.  He will be making his 2013 Major League debut with the club.

Infielder Mike Aviles is expected to be the everyday shortstop with Cabrera out, and with off days on each of the next three Thursday's this month, the Indians can probably play their regulars at third base, shortstop and second base on a more consistent basis. Diaz will get some playing time, but should be limited to spot duty and not play as much as Aviles did when he was the utility infielder.

I'd do it in a heartbeat for the MiLB site, but they don't have a system setup to do it. The only reason I even do the player links is because it pulls the articles to their player pages (which is a cool feature).

OK, I thought maybe this site built the links.

Would there be any way to fix this, or to link to the minor league site instead?

Yeah, those links are auto-generated by B-Ref system. Some of them don't link right to players of like names.

Just FYI...your Diaz link takes you to the wrong player.
