Cabrera To DL, Barfield Up

The Cleveland Indians today announced the club has placed INF Asdrubal Cabrera on the 15-day disabled list with a left ac joint sprain. To replace Cabrera on the active roster the Indians have recalled INF Josh Barfield from AAA Columbus.

Cabrera was injured in yesterday's game vs. the Minnesota Twins in the
1st inning. This is his 1st career trip to the disabled list at the big league level. The Indians are now tied with the Tampa Bay Rays for the most players on the major league disabled list with nine (Scott Lewis, Jake Westbrook, Anthony Reyes, Travis Hafner, Joe Smith, Grady Sizemore, Aaron Laffey, Rafael Betancourt and Asdrubal Cabrera).
