The Captains held a 3-0 lead after the top of the seventh, but the TinCaps came back in the bottom of the seventh to grab the 4-3 victory.

Lake County had runs from center fielder Logan Vick and designated hitter Richard Stock, in addition to a home run from right fielder Jorge Martinez. Stock is also on a 14-game hitting streak.

All four of the TinCaps' runs came in the bottom of the seventh, from center fielder Mallex Smith, left fielder Alberth Martinez, catcher Rodney Daal and designated hitter Brian Adams.

The Captains started with Ryan Merritt on the mound. He pitched just three innings, allowing four hits, one walk and struck out six. Luis Morel came in to relieve Merritt and allowed seven hits, four runs, walked one, struck out two, and earned the loss.

The TinCaps sent Zach Eflin to the mound. He allowed six hits, two runs, walked two and struck out two. Ruben Mejia came in to relieve Eflin, allowing three hits, one run, walked one, and struck out one, he also earned the win. Chris Nunn came in for Mejia and he walked two. Trevor Gott came in to close for Fort Wayne and struck out one.

The Captains return to Classic Park to take on Fort Wayne for two more games of their two and two home-away series. The game is set to start Thursday at 7:05 p.m.
