The Captains dominated in a 11-4 victory over the Loons, after falling to them 8-3 and 7-1 in the first two games of their four game series.

The Captains started off strong, snagging their first run in the bottom of the first. That run came off an RBI double from Logan Vick to score Dorssys Paulino

They continued to hold off the Loons, adding another run in the bottom of the fourth from Eric Haase

The fifth and sixth inning were the high points for the Captains though, scoring three runs in the bottom of each. The fifth inning runs came from Richard Stock, Joe Sever and LeVon Washington. While the sixth inning runs came from Todd Hankins, Washington and Paulino.

But the real star of the night for the Captains was shortstop Dorssys Paulino, who went 4-4, including a double and two runs.

"He's obviously improving," said manager Scooter Tucker. "I mean, for me, tonight was his best all around game. He swung the bat well, he's playing well defensively, every part of his game was a plus tonight."

First baseman Joe Sever also went 3-4 on the night, including a double and one run. Logan Vick, Eric Haase and Richard Stock all had two hits, one of Stock's was the Captains only home run on the night.

Ryan Merritt started on the mound for the Captains, he pitched three innings, he allowed one hit and struck out two. Luis Morel came in to relieve for Merritt, he walked three and struck out four. Jimmy Stokes came in to close for the Captains,

The Captains had 16 hits on the night, while the Loons only five. The Captains went into the ninth with the 11-0 lead, and Stokes allowed all four of the Loons earned runs, including one home run.

The Loons and the Captains finish out their series at Classic Park on Tuesday at 1pm.
