The Captains were sunk by the Loons Monday night, 9-0. Despite four hits, Lake County could not capitalize on their men on base and earned no runs against the Loons. 

The Loons started off strong, scoring seven of their nine runs in the first two innings. Shortstop Corey Seager dominated for the Loons, with three hits, two of which were home runs, including a grand slam in the second inning. 

The Loons also had two home runs in the first inning, one from Seager and another from first baseman Tyler Ogle

Luis DeJesus started for the Captains, pitching three innings, allowing six hits, seven runs, walked two and struck out five. Felix Sterling came in to relieve for DeJesus, allowing two hits, walked one and struck out two. Cody Penny came in to close the game out and allowed four hits, two runs, walked two and struck out three. 

Tom Windle started for Great Lakes, only allowing one hit, walked one and struck out seven. Rob Rogers relieved Windle, allowing three hits and striking out three. Arismendy Ozoria closed out the game and struck out two. 

The Captains are now 17-19 on the second half of the season while the Loons are 23-14. 

The Captains finish out their eight game road trip with two game in Fort Wayne. the TinCaps and the Captains have their first game Tuesday at 7pm.
