Morel allowed five runs on eight hits in four and two thirds innings. He walked a season-high five batters and struck out two.

Garton took the loss, allowing the winning run in the seventh inning on three hits in two and one third innings.

On the walk-off win, Tucker said “It is a great way to end the day, especially for them. It creates great momentum for the team. Also, it is the best way for morale considering the games lately. It just has a different feeling than a 9-0 win for the guys.”

Bowling Green and Lake County had 10 hits apiece in game two. Haase led the way with two hits including two RBI.

Lake County and Bowling Green will play the rubber game of the series on Thursday morning. LHP Ryan Merritt (2-4, 3.31 ERA) will take the ball for the Captains as he will face RHP Dylan Floro (3-1, 1.54 ERA) for Bowling Green. First pitch is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. from Classic Park.
