Carolina Insider: 2012 season review

The Indians moved their High-A operations from Kinston to Carolina this season, and while there was not a lot of success in the win-loss column, a strong case can be made that the talent that went through Carolina this season was as good as any affiliate – particularly on the position player front.

Carolina did not make the playoffs this season and finished going 63-77, which was the second worst record in the eight team league. But, again, it is always about development first and winning second, and there were a lot of positive developments with the players that played in Carolina this year under the tutelage of manager Edwin Rodriguez, pitching coach Scott Erickson, and hitting coach Scooter Tucker.
