Columbus Insider: 2012 season review

Triple-A Columbus did not make the playoffs this season, so they were unable to defend their back-to-back International League and National Championships. But they did finish with another winning season going 75-69 on the year, which is always very good when you consider all of the movement up and down between Cleveland and Columbus throughout the year.

Manager Mike Sarbaugh and his staff once again did a nice job holding the fort by nurturing young prospects, handling all of the different personalities on the roster, and most of all the frustrations some players that are anxious to get to the big leagues. The team lacked much in the way of any high profile prospects, but there were Major League capable players littered up and down...
