Columbus Notes

April 18, 2009
A couple quick Columbus updates:

- Right-hander Greg Aquino was taken out of the game before even throwing a pitch last night. He is suffering from some shoulder stiffness and is day-to-day.

- Infielder Josh Barfield has 72 hours to report to Columbus, though should be there today. He is expected to get regular playing time and will play second base and outfield.

- Second baseman Luis Valbuena is expected to see some time at shortstop and third base while Barfield is in Columbus. The idea is to give Valbuena some versatility, though he still will be the regular second baseman.
