Simply Un-Brach-able!

Brett Brach was fantastic on the mound once again leading Lake County to an impressive 11-2 win over South Bend. Brach (4-6) fired seven strong innings allowing just two runs on five hits and was nearly untouchable as he struck out a season high nine.

The Captains came out firing on all cylinders in the first inning. Delvi Cid began the game off with a first pitch base hit to leftfield. Casey Frawley drove in Cid to make it 1-0 with an RBI double to right. Adam Abraham kept things rolling with a single to left center scoring Frawley. Christ Kersten delivered the Captains fourth straight hit to put runners on the corners. With one out, Roberto Perez hit a chopper over the third baseman Matt Davidson and down the line for a double scoring Abraham. Jason Smit slapped a single to right to drive in Kersten. Hawks
