The Akron Aeros stole a season-high five bases as they went on to sweep the Trenton Thunder in a three-game series winning the finale 7-4 Thursday at Waterfront Park.
Akron (58-54) also stole five bases May 11 at Erie. Three of those five bases were stolen by Juan Diaz, which is a 2011 high.

The game was scoreless until the top of the fourth inning when Chun Chen hit a two-run home run to give the Aeros a 2-0 lead.
Akron added to their lead in the top of the sixth inning. Diaz opened the frame with a single and stole second when Chen struck out. With Raul Padron at the plate, Diaz stole third. Following a Padron strike out, Kyle Bellows singled Diaz home to increase the Aeros lead to 3-0. Bellows quickly stole second to move into scoring position.
