The Cleveland Indians today announced they have recalled left-handed pitcher TJ House from Short-Season Single-A Mahoning Valley and optioned right-handed pitcher Austin Adams to Triple-A Columbus.

House returns to the Indians after a ten-day stint in the Minor Leagues around the All-Star break (July 11-20). During the break he made a start for Mahoning Valley on July 16 (5.0IP, 2H, 0R, 0BB, 4K) vs. Connecticut. So far with Cleveland this year he has gone 1-2 with a 4.40 ERA in 9 games/8 starts (45.0IP, 58H, 24R/22ER, 11BB, 30K).

I watched Austin Adams pitch and he needs to learn that he cannot throw his fast ball by every hitter in the majors. He needs to learn to change speeds and after he completes that, he should be a better pitcher. T.J. House is having his break out year and I am glad he is starting to pitch well. I hope that Danny S. has learned about changing speeds since he is a very good young pitcher and we will need him if Masty still having problems. Go Tribe!!!!
