Indians activate Bourn, option Barnes to Columbus

On Thursday afternoon the Cleveland Indians announced that outfielder Michael Bourn has been activated from the 15-day disabled list and lefty Scott Barnes has been optioned to Triple-A Columbus.

Bourn has been on the disabled list since April 15 after suffering a lacerated right index finger against the Chicago White Sox the day before. Bourn spent two days (May 7-8) rehabbing with AAA Columbus and so far this season he is hitting .333 (14-45) with 7 runs scored, 4 2B, 1 3B, 2HR & 2RBI in 10 games (.975 OPS).

Barnes has made three appearances for the Indians and allowed two runs and one hit in 4.0 inning of work.
