The Cleveland Indians today announced that they have activated outfielder David Murphy from the 15-day Disabled List. They have also recalled infielder Justin Sellers from Triple-A Columbus.

Murphy has been on the 15-day DL with a strained right oblique since August 10, batting .262 (95-362) on the year with 21 doubles, 7 homers and 55 RBI in 109 games.  He has spent the last two days rehabbing with AAA Columbus (1-6, HR, 2RBI, 2 games).

Sellers begins his third stint with Cleveland in 2014, his first since May 27. He has spent the majority of the season in Triple-A Columbus where he batted .254 (90-355) w/18 2B, 1 3B, 3HR, 40 RBI in 102 games.  The versatile Sellers, who was acquired from the Dodgers on March 2, appeared in 67 games at SS, 18 games at 2B, 17 games in LF and 2 games at 3B for the Clippers. Over his last 18 games at AAA (July 27-end of season) he hit .292 (19-65) w/11 RBI and was 3-for-8 in their 2 playoff games (RS, RBI).

The current Major League roster currently stands at 34 players.
