The Indians have officially announced the signing of 8 additional draft picks today. Tony has already reported on several of these guys in his "unofficial signing" updates. Top pick Alex White's UNC Tar Heels were eliminated from the College World Series yesterday (White did not pitch in the game), so look for the Indians to start negotiating with him in the near future as well. Below is the official press release from the Indians announcing todays signings:

The Cleveland Indians today signed 8 additional draft picks from the 2009 First Year Player Draft. Today the Indians signed 3rd round pick RHP Joe Gardner (UC Santa Barbara), 4th round pick INF Kyle Bellows, 12th round pick RHP Joseph Colon (Puerto Rico CC), 15th round pick LHP Mike Rayl (Palm Beach CC), 19TH round pick LHP Nick Kirk (Northern Iowa), 23rd round pick LHP Daniel Jimenez (John A Logan College), 33rd round pick INF Chris Kersten (La Tech), and 48th round pick LHP Vidal Nuno (Baker U). The Indians have now signed 17 of their 50 selections and 12 of the top 16.
